The Giants’ deep run in the 2010 postseason and subsequent victory in the World Series was a surprise. I don't think anyone expected the team to catch fire the way it did.

With little preparation time, we managed to crank out a ton of extra features in the news and sports sections, including a series of poster pages dedicated to a single player — on deadline. 

This Buster Posey page won an award of excellence from the Society for News Design.
