In 2009, Bill and I were asked to redesign Greenspun Media Group's community weeklies and rebrand them as part of the flagship publication, the Las Vegas Sun.
For my prototype, I produced a tabloid that took pieces of the Sun's design but softened it to make it more inviting. I lightened the color palette, making the tones lighter and less saturated. I also used more informal typography, and brought in the old Sun logo for a touch of history and fun.
The Henderson Sun project was eventually nixed, but I still love the ideas we developed.
